Charli XCX and stylist Chris Horan created the looks while she was in New York City for Saturday Night Live. Be it for the trip back and forth to the studio to rehearse (one day she wore a pair of boots from Jean Paul Gaultier’s Jimmy Choo collaboration, Ksubi denim shorts and a small shoulder bag from Aupen), to shoot promotional pictures or even for her Opening In the monologue, the pair stacked their performances with dynamic labels.
For the teaser released on Thursday, Charli opted for a white Christopher John Rogers dress. The look was a tiered peplum dress with ruffles at the waist. The ankle-length version with buttons on the bodice was worn by Kerry Washington to a screening of the film “Ezra” in May.

The singer went dark for her opening monologue. She wore a black dress by Dilara Findikoglu. The off-the-shoulder design included a bodice with feathers. The skirt of the look is laced at the back like a corset. Corsets and corset details often appear in Dilara designs. The bottom half of the look consisted of facial features bathed in black tar, appearing smooth and resinous.
In a sketch edited for the time titled “Please Don’t Destroy – Mean Cute,” Charli appeared in another black dress. It had a high front and low back with long sleeves. In addition to the draped garment, she carried Khaite’s Elena bag, which featured a top handle and large silver studs.
In addition to serving as the episode’s host, Charli also served as a musical performer. During one of her performances she sang “360”. During her performance, she carried Gucci’s black leather Jackie bag. She paired it with graphic tee, ruffled mini skirt, sunglasses and over the knee boots.
